These qualifications are used primarily on inspections, monitoring, repair, remodeling and refurbishment of machinery (plant).
One of the most important problems in the construction and operation of machinery and their maintenance is primarily the inspection, which is able to help determine the status of existing equipment to predict residual life assesment and create a schedule of activities based on risk analysis and use of inspection schedules that will keep the machinery running.
The legislative basis for this process are EN 12837 (Plant Inspector A and B), ISO 18436 and API Standards 510, 570, 653 and 580.
This system is divided into sectors of construction equipment and operating from the perspective of machinery:
API 510 - DATA PRESSURE VESSELS
Qualification is based on the requirements of API RP 510 for inspection of pressure equipment. The graduate will be able to supervise/ inspect/ monitor the status of pressure equipment, to determine the residual life assesment and create inspection schedules for these devices.
API 570 - DATA PRESSURE PIPING SYSTEMS
Qualification is based on the requirements of API RP 570 for inspection of pressure piping systems. The graduate will be able to supervise / inspect / monitor the status of pressure piping systems, to determine the residual life assesment, and create inspection schedules for these devices.
API 653 - ABOOVEGROUND STORAGE TANKS
Qualification is based on the requirements of API RP 653 for the inspection of aboveground storage tanks in operation. The graduate will be able to supervise / inspect / monitor the status of aboveground storage tanks, to determine the residual lfe assesment, and create inspection schedules for these devices.
